Kalle Kettunen appointed CEO of Algol Chemicals
M.Sc. (Tech.), MBA Kalle Kettunen (55) has been appointed CEO of the Algol Group’s largest subsidiary, Algol Chemicals Oy. He will start in his new position on 15 August 2020.
Kalle Kettunen was previously CEO of Telko Ltd, a global supplier of plastic raw materials and industrial chemicals, from 2009 to 2019. Telko is part of the Finnish listed company Aspo Group and has operations in 17 countries. He is joining Algol Chemicals from his most recent position as Managing Director of Finex Oy, a supplier of specialty chemicals. Kettunen has previously held management positions within the chemical and paper industries in Finland, Sweden and China.
“Kalle Kettunen has a diverse background in both the distribution of raw materials and other industrial sectors, and he has an excellent track record in growing sales and profits. Fredrik Hansson, who has served as temporary Managing Director of Algol Chemicals since December 2019, will return to his position on the company’s Management Board.
