Sustainability at Algol Chemicals
For us at Algol Chemicals, sustainability means everyday deeds. In our daily work, we strive to ensure that our supply chain operates safely and in accordance with all requirements. We recognise the importance of our role as a chemical supplier in the overall sustainability of the supply chain.
We comply with the Algol Group’s health, safety, environmental and quality policies and code of business conduct, which define ethical principles for the activities of all units and employees. We also require our suppliers and subcontractors to comply with these principles.
Management systems in accordance with the ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 standards together with the chemical industry’s Responsible Care initiative guide our goal-oriented and efficient work. We regularly assess the risks and opportunities associated with our operations. We are also committed to continuous improvement. We proactively develop our operations together with our stakeholders and respond quickly to feedback.
We have set sustainability targets for our operations that are aimed at a healthy and functional work community, the sustainable use of energy and resources, and the continuous improvement of the quality of our operations.
These targets also contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
