Omyacarb® Extra-GU is ultra-fine ground calcium carbonate-based mineral filler. It is suitable for matt decorative paints with high pigment volume concentration (PVC). It allows optimization of titanium dioxide content based on the opacifying effect. It can improve brightness and yellowness. It reduces binder content by having better filler packing in the system leading to additional cost savings without suffering in mechanical properties such as wet scrub resistance. It offers high opacity and brightness. It is easy to disperse and enhances carbon footprint. It is a replacement of titanium dioxide by dry hiding effect. Omyacarb® Extra-GU is suitable for water- and solvent-based high gloss alkyd coatings.
